How do I purchase a commercial licence for Maian Cart?
Visit the 'Purchase' page. A link is also at the top of the page and in the right hand menu.
Can I use the same licence on sub domains?
Yes, a single licence will work for all installs on the same domain and sub domains. Just make sure each install has the same product key in your database.
Can I upgrade to a Commercial Licence from the Free Licence or do I need to reinstall?
Yes, you can upgrade from the same installation. If you decide to go for the commercial version a new license file is all thats required.
What happens if I move the script to another server?
If you re-run the installer this would create a new product key. Just update your key at the Maian Script World Licence Centre and download a new licence. Alternatively, export and import your database structure from the old server to the new, which will retain the product key.
How customisable is Maian Cart?
The frontend is fully customisable. None of the images, css files or template files are encoded meaning you can easily change colours, graphics and adapt the system into any layout. The admin area structure cannot be changed, but the colours and graphics can be edited or overwritten. The docs detail the files you need to edit to make changes.
Do I have to purchase ionCube?
No. You simply have to install the loaders to enable you to run protected files encoded using ionCube. Many web hosts already support ionCube, including shared hosts, so you may find the system loads with no issues. If you need to install the loaders, use the ionCube loader wizard.
How do I get ionCube encoded files to run on my server?
Please see the ionCube website or download this loader wizard.
What happens if a future version has a different encryption version?
Nothing at all. If your current 'licence.lic' file doesn`t work, simply re-login to the Maian Script World Licence Centre and re-generate your licence for the current version.
Legacy versions are also included on the download page.
I don`t have access to my servers PHP.ini file to enable the loaders, what can I do?
Most Linux based shared servers have an option to override the main PHP.ini file with your own. Check with your hosting company.
If you are running a shared Windows environment and you don`t
have access to PHP.ini to enable the loaders, you will not be able to install Maian Cart. Unlike Linux, Windows has a single PHP.ini file and most Windows based shared hosts will not allow it to be changed.
Will the system work with PHP6?
Sorry, not at this moment in time due to ionCube restrictions.
Does the free version expire?
No, the free version is not time restricted. It will run forever.
Are there any annoying nag screens or popups in the free version?
No
How much do I pay for upgrades?
Nothing at all. All the future upgrades are free, regardless of versions or features. You do not have to pay again if a new major version is released, unlike many other systems. I do NOT believe in charging people for minor updates or when a new version is released.
Can I upgrade from a previous version older than v2.0?
No, this option isn`t available, sorry.
Can you install Maian Cart for me?
Yes. See this page for the installation service.
Can I resell Maian Cart?
There are no sole resell rights for Maian Cart. The Developers Licence enables you to re-brand and offer the software as your own as an installed service, but the rights remain the property of David Bennett & Maian Script World.
Where do I send testimonials or language packs?
Please use the support option to contact me.
How do I generate a licence after payment?
Please visit the Maian Script World Licence Centre. Thank you.
